The LETTOG way, (by reducing operational costs through sharing resources) contributes toward another saving process this time on the environmental front. Marketing, preparing, finding tenants and maintaining large property portfolios has a sizable carbon footprint therefore the LETTOG way makes double the good sense.
Over the last 24 months the entire letting industry had to endure a costly legislative change to do with the reduction of carbon emissions in dwellings. Mandatory energy efficiency surveys and ratings (EPC) for every rented property was introduced to measure how much carbon was being emitted annually and recommendations were given on how to improve the efficiency of the fabric of the building and the heating, cooling and hot water provision.
The collating of this information will allow LETTOG members to advise their landlord clients on how make improvements and benefit from serious discounting of related energy efficiency products and services (e.g. Boilers, glazing, insulation etc). We have also entered into early discussions to negotiate the branded provision of green gas and electricity from the big utilities to offer stable and cheap energy to all the landlords tenants in the group portfolio. |
